Remodel and addition to a San Francisco home with alterations mostly to the rear and backyard end of the residence. The classic street facade had nice circular details in the windows which were preserved, while the rear of the residence had an eight-foot addition to match the line of the adjacent neighbor. The new addition pushes into an already large backyard garden that goes up the hill, and houses a new open kitchen and extensions to the master bedroom and bathroom above. A new stair allows direct outlet from the basement garage to the new ipe wood deck. An example of clean, contemporary design fitting with and adding to - a traditional home.
